John Denver was a superstar artist who was a hit by his popular-folk hits Many of them were located in Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in affection with Colorado and eventually relocated to Aspen. Denver's most popular songs about his adopted home state inspired many visitors to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the director of this hall of fame, stated: "I don't believe there any other performer who embodies Colorado like John Denver." Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. Many consider Denver to be the Colorado image. While traveling, I will meet people on the other side of the planet. Like, for instance, someone from New Zealand. And when you say that you are from Colorado you will get "Oh John Denver!" Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 hits following a performance with a small folk music bands. It was co-written by and recorded by Bill Danoff.
